About

IvoryKit Play started as a group chat between friends who kept arguing about which games were worth the storage space. At some point we decided to just write it all down, and the site grew from there. There's no big publisher behind us, just a small crew that likes playing on the bus and on the couch.

We pick games the way most people do: something catches our eye in the store, a friend recommends it, or a reader sends a tip. Then we actually sit with it for a while before saying anything. A single evening isn't enough, so most reviews come after a week or two of real use.

What matters to us is the stuff store pages rarely mention. How hot does the phone get? Does the control scheme fall apart on a small screen? Can you play one-handed on a train? We write about mobile gaming the way we experience it, bumps included.

We don't chase launch-day hype and we don't pretend every game is a masterpiece. If something bored us, we'll say so, and we'll try to explain who it might still work for.
