Adventure
Lantern Roads
★★★★★ 4.5
Lantern Roads is the sort of calm adventure you play to unwind. You're a courier wandering hand-drawn villages, delivering letters and slowly piecing together the stories of the people who live there. There's no combat and no timer, just walking, talking, and small puzzles.
The touch controls are smooth: tap to move, swipe to look around. It's forgiving and never rushes you. I found myself lingering just to hear what the next villager had to say, and the soundtrack is lovely with headphones.
It's a quiet game, so if you want action you'll bounce off it. But as a wind-down title it's one of the most pleasant things I've played all year. Very light on battery, too.

- Beautiful hand-drawn art
- Zero stress, pure mood
